Using our equipment to lift and manoeuvre products improves productivity, puts an end to hours lost through staff absences caused by repetitive handling injuries and ensures peace of mind for companies wishing to stay that one step ahead, necessary in today's competitive market.
Our units are designed and manufactured to the highest standards and the quality is second to none.
As a small family run business we do not experience the day to day financial overheads of our competitors. Because of this we pass the benefits on to our customers in being more competitive on prices and in many cases more responsive with our delivery dates.
With the Manupac range, our conventional Vacuum Lifting Equipment and our most recent addtion - the IPS Manipulator, our aim is to guarantee our commitment in providing our customers with the most cost effective and efficient lifting equipment available in the market place today.

Commendations...
We operate two laser-cutting machines side by side. The introduction of the second machine capable of cutting plate up to 20mm thick highlighted a handling problem, sometimes taking four men and a forklift to accomplish the task. The installation of an overhead crane, while helpful, did not cure the problem.
The introduction of a vacuum lifter supplied by Alan E Wheeler & Son totally revolutionised the handling of the materials. The laser operator, with only the crane pendant control, can pick up and position accurately plates up to 20mm thick with obvious tremendous savings in labour and safety.

Alan E Wheeler & Son first supplied us with Vacuum Lifting Equipment in 1994. We purchased our latest unit from them in September 2000 for lifting and turning Aluminium plates measuring up to 5 metres in length.
The Unit is a 2 tonne 90 degree Turnlift System which has enabled the product turning process to become a swift and efficient one man operation. Because of the nature of the suction pads all damage to the product has been eliminated.
The units have been designed and manufactured to our specific requirements and we are delighted with the results since using them on our production line.

Previously we manually handled wound coils of copper strip on to our fin forming machine. We had a number of manual handling issues and could only use coils up to 25kg. We then purchased a Vacuum Lift Unit from Alan E Wheeler & Son in order to manipulate coils weighing up to 230kg.
The vacuum Lift Unit has paid for itself over the last year by enabling us to present large copper coils to the machine. We therefore now have less coil changeovers per day and productivity has increased accordingly.
The unit has proved to be very robust in our manufacturing environment and apart from routine maintenance it has been very reliable, without any breakdowns.
